 Gheda Mangimi Srl, with registered office in Ostiglia (Mantua), began its business in Italy in 1920 as a pasta factory, in 1975 it became a feedstuff factory specialized in pasta products, finally, at the end of 90's, Gheda became a leading Company in Europe regarding pasta products for dogs and zootechnical use (Complementary and simple feedstuff: natural pasta - precooked pasta - precooked pasta with milk - precooked pasta with vegetables - precooked pasta with eggs - precooked pasta with fish). Moreover, our Company created the guidelines related to extruded food for cats and dogs in order to become a leading Company in this market segment, too (Complete feedstuff: meat croquettes - fish cakes - croquettes with vegetables and corn). Since the beginning of its presence in the market, Gheda Mangimi exalted the properties of the most famous Italian dish: pasta, aimed at achieving the highest quality of the product, by treasuring its experiences gained in the past and modernizing its manufacturing equipment, as well.Gheda Mangimi always aimed at spreading a 'Mediterranean' food model and also at achieving a leading role for pasta in non-traditional areas. The nutritional philosophy proposed by Gheda Mangimi is also appreciated by famous international dieticians, nutritionists and authors, who reconfirmed that a diet, which mainly consists of carbohydrates and has a low content of saturated fats, is able to effectively prevent SHEETiovascular diseases. Since the pasta is the main source of complex carbohydrates, it is certainly a very important, maybe the most important component in a a diet. If we probe into the 'pasta world', we can speak about raw to precooked pasta, through the various production stages: selection of raw materials (from durum wheat, only) such as flours and meals, bread-making flours, refined semolinas with a very low content of ashes, mixing and measuring out of such ingredients, their insertion in the manufacturing process, packaging and introduction into the market. Now, our Company produces dry-food (dry-meat) for cats and dogs. This production line has been developed to meet any food needs of cats and dogs; it is based on the instructions of a team of nutritionists and veterinaries specialized in pet food. Gheda Mangimi organization can supply its customers with products created according to specific nutritional pets' needs as well as commercial customers' needs, as to sizes and packages. |
